"A Halloween Rant" Warning: Excessive Expletive Usage (aka Lots of Swearing)

Hi hi minna-san! 'Tis Rin. X3 It is that time again, Halloween is now here and you have survived the process of finding a costume whether your costume ended up how you originally imagined it. For instance, I STILL don't have a pair of freaking white pants! *Snarls* Anyway, even though this holiday is great and a lot of fun it also has its bittersweet points. I found a BRILLIANT AMV that helps describe some of the issues intertwined with this ~FrEaKy~ holiday. This AMV is done to a rant made by the infamous Foamy the Squirrel. If you don't know this squirrel be prepared for he is ONE RABID SQUIRREL. Please, though as to not be offended reread the title again, for this does have quite a bit of swearing that some of you lovely pockers will not appreciate. Thanks, and have a safe yet HaPpY HaLLOwEen!!

"Just outside Harajuku station today I saw the craziest/funniest/most dumbfounding thing I've seen in Japan to date. The machine containing this man was fully mobile and powerful enough to get up and down the curbs with ease, not to mention immaculately put together."

Less Than Three <3

Hey, everyone, Celley here!

Got a little cutesy animation for you here. It's called "Less Than Three", and is based on a song about a girl who goes online afterschool to chat with her internet boyfriend.

The song is very catchy, and the animation is very chibi looking. It gets better as you watch, so don't run away too quick!

BREAKING NEWS: Cloak of Invisibility a Reality!

Kip here with some breaking news!
You may have heard in recent years scientists have been developing a fabric with cameras woven into it. When a person wears the fabric the cameras record the images behind the individual and project it on the front of the cloaking fabric so that the person seems see-through. Kazutoshi Obana from the University of Tokyo is demonstrating the now infamous cloak. This method of invisibility is called optical camouflaged technology.

Just yesterday a team of scientists unveiled the next level of this technology. By using light-bending radar and microwave rays, it is possible to hide visible objects. The scientists successfully hid a copper cylinder from view with only a few shadows giving away the illusion. At this time the cloak is not perfect and can only cloak some objects.

The entire Associated Press article in the Japan Times is available here (or click the thumbnail!).

The Ultimate FLCL Collection

Kip again.
The new FLCL Ultimate Edition DVD's look like a hit. If you wasted your money on the individual sets you might as well sell them to your brother who has so desperately wanted them since when they first came in the mail. So you got the limited edition shot glass with volume three? Big deal!

Check out the FLCL Production Blog. There's too many extras to describe here, and for around $50.00 it seems like a great addition to any anime collection.

Alright, stop me if I sound like a salesman...

Cute Korean Pocky Feeding Game!

Hiiii~! Tis Lucy :3

I was strolling along some cute games, where i came past a Pocky Feeding Game!
It's so cute @www@ But kinda hard to get used to. Basicly, feed the kittys with money by pressing zxc depending on where they are, but tell the ugly yellow cat and the evil ninja one to bog off. That's what i got so far anyway, post any tips on how to play or how far you got!

Jet-Propelled Wing Takes Flight

Kip here, filling in for Pocky while he is away.
Alright, before we begin, one and a two and a three, Happy Birthday to you... XD

Well, here's a bit of news that caught my interest. If you remember in the movie Nausicaä and the Valley of the Wind, the characters in the valley would fly around on these jet-propelled wings or gliders.

This model on the left is from the Ghibli museum.

However, some Japanese students and artists got together just a few months ago to test out an actual flying version they were working on.

Pictures from their flight are available on this Japanese website dubbed "Project OpenSky".

And if you have time, be sure to check out the movie of the flight!

Anime Review - "Gakuen Alice" by Rin!

Hiiiiii! This is Rin! ^-^ *waves franctically* Anyway, I am here today to tell you all about an anime that I have been watching. It's taken awhile to see what I have seen of it, because the subbing on this series is going pretty slow, but I highly recommend it, especially to the girls here. (I never watch anime dubbed. *cringes*)

This anime is called "Gakuen Alice" (gakuen means school in Japanese) and it's about a 10 year old girl named Mikan who gets torn from her best friend Hotaru when Hotaru transfers into the Alice school. "Alice" in this story stands for any special talents or powers that certain individuals possess which kinda makes them "superhuman". Anyway, whoever is found to have an "alice" ends up at this Academy. The genre of this anime is comedy, but it's also really cute too! ^.^ So go ahead and follow Mikan's adventure to find her friend Hotaru and see what surprises lie ahead for Mikan when she discovers something important about herself.
