Miss Universe 2007 winner from Japan

Here she is!

ABC Radio Australia: "Japan's first Miss Universe victory in nearly 50 years has brought a welcome note of light relief to the country on Tuesday, amid a raft of grim domestic news.

Television stations showed Riyo Mori being crowned winner of the contest in Mexico, beating other finalists from countries such as Brazil and Venezuela.

The 20-year-old dancer is from Shizuoka prefecture, south of Tokyo.

Ms Mori has become only the second Japanese woman to take the top prize at Miss Universe.

Last year Kurara Chibana, another Japanese contestant, came second in the pageant.

The win came after months of preparation by Ms Mori, who said in a recent interview with Metropolis magazine in Tokyo that she had been to France to learn the right mannerisms and interview skills.

A spokeswoman for Shizuoka town hall says employees there are thrilled and are considering how best to celebrate Mori's return home."

Meyume,
Would you prefer articles about how schools in Kyoto implemented the Nintendo DS as an English Learning aid, or how an International School in Tokyo was trying to beat a world record by having people from 50 nations in a hot tub, or Japan's International (Foreign) Manga Awards, or how a Japanese Mountaineer has been working to clean up Mount Everest?
Or just recently how Economist Magazine ranked Japan #5 out of 121 countries for "peacefulness".

If you would, then I apologize.
I suggested some of those, but unfortunately I received no feed back :(

No no, Kami!
I have no problem with this article! .O.

I was just thinking how fun you guys are, as well as how open.
A fun (and interesting) this blog was. XD

Though, I have to say that the Nintendo DS being used as a Learning Aid for the Enlgish Language is pretty interesting, as well as all the other article ideas you brought up!
We really should have a variety of different interests on Ani-Pock, no matter what it is. *nodnod*

Sorry if I seemed offended about Miss Universe, my feelings are far from that. >_<
