Private Lesson on Otakuology

No, its not another Harui dance! This clip is actually pretty funny. Its about explaining Otaku culture to another Japanese person. I like how he speaks into the trash can xD

WoW! This is a lesson for me too...
I just group everyone altogether in one category "idiots".

BTW Pocky... you said you like when "He" talked into the garbage can...
That "HE" is 和田 アキ子 (Wada Akiko), Singer and television star...
SHE's on a variety of TV shows mostly hosting... I'm surprised you don't know.

I guess regular TV isn't on the "Otaku" list.

Again... Watching this make me glad I'm from the country side :P

Wow. That was a good Asuka!
Really good.

I had the same feelings about Densha Otoko, that it would improve the view of the otaku culture much in the same way Napoleon Dynamite (and, no I'm not that Kip) would change the way the geek culture was viewed.
Well, I guess what I mean to say it humanized (sic) the subject of the portrayal.

Also... this somewhat reminded me of a low-budget Otaku no Video which, essentially, is an anime describing the otaku culture to an outsider. But instead of Haruhi, it's a girl in a bunny costume imitating the famous DAICON film bunny girl.

Neat find, Pocky! XD

I'm confused... and I'm not sure I want to know why KiP! knows such a person.

It's interesting that this Korean singer is known for her above average height, and on the other hand, BoA, which many of you know, was rumoured to have joint extensions to make her taller.
Interesting contrast... I wonder if they ever sang together?
